GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Due to the quick response of a private security firm, Cradock Security, a suspect was arrested in the early hours of Thursday 24 November after allegedly breaking into a business in town.
It is believed that the 30-year-old suspect forced open a window of the Lewis Furniture store at about 03:45 on Thursday 24 November.
The alarm went off and the armed response personnel found the man in possession of suspected stolen goods.
The suspect and the items were handed to the SAPS on their arrival.
The suspect will appear in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate's Court on a charge of possession of stolen goods. Further charges may be added later.
The manager of Cradock Security, Johann Henning, says it's important that stakeholders work together. "Enhanced cooperation between SAPS and security companies will ensure that our communities feel safe, and properties are protected."
