GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - This year’s Christmas Fair at St James’ Anglican Church on Saturday 30 November promises to be even better than previous years, with exciting new food stalls and the addition of carnival games for the children.
“We are concentrating on attracting the whole family this year,” said organiser Felicity Minnaar. “Whilst the children enjoy the carnival games, with popcorn, candyfloss and icepops, the adults can sit and relax and enjoy a cup of tea with scones in the tea garden.”
The stalls will be spread around the grounds of the church and garden of the rectory, with umbrellas for shade in the tea garden. The wafting aromas of the hot takeaways are sure to entice many visitors!
There will be 45 stalls in total, and more than half have already been snapped up. So far stalls will include a wide variety of handcrafts, delicious food and other Christmas goodies. The cost per stall is a mere R50, with an extra R50 for a table if needed.
The fair will be open from 9am until 2pm, and visitors are encouraged to arrive early to avoid the rush. Stalls can be booked with either Felicity Minnaar on 082 505 2791 or Evette Holmes on 082 323 1573.
