SPCA in need of book and magazine donations
The Graaff-Reinet SPCA is in dire need of book and magazine donations for its annual book sale at Spandau Spar on Friday 4 October.

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Graaff-Reinet SPCA is in dire need of book and magazine donations for its annual book sale at Spandau Spar on Friday 4 October.

The day will coincide with World Animal Day. According to a statement by the SPCA, they need to raise funds to assist animals exposed to hunger and thirst due to the current drought.

Graaff-Reinet, Nieu Bethesda and Aberdeen residents are invited to donate books and magazines no older that 15 years. The SPCA said they had inquiries for Afrikaans books, children books and Christian books last year. 

A favourite was also English and Afrikaans romance novels.
