KAROO NEWS - The Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality (DBNLM) says its protection services are ready for the busy festive season.
According to Acting Municipal Spokesperson, Edwardine Abader, a festive season operational plan by the Municipal Protection Service is being implemented under the management of newly-appointed manager, Riaan Mattys, and Director of Community Services, GV Hermanus.
On the weekend of 12 December, the teams enforced Covid-19 regulations. This weekend of 18t and 19 December, traffic officials applied traffic control within Graaff-Reinet, specifically on West and Church streets, where the flow of traffic increases during this time.
"Continuous roadblocks will occur at entrances to DBNLM towns and visible law enforcement can be expected," Abader concluded.
