GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - After they put their pens down at the end of their last exam on Monday afternoon, 26 November, Union High School's Matric class of 2018 took off their shoes to donate them to less fortunate learners in the local community.
A spokesperson of Union High School said that the school prides itself in being very involved in the community.
She further said that Matric pupils donating their school shoes has been a tradition for the past couple of years.
"We have many privileged children in our school who are all very aware that many people are not that privileged," she added.
The children are very proud to leave their shoes behind, knowing that it goes to children that can't afford school shoes.
