GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A total number of 35 park runners ran, jogged and walked the Mountain Drive parkrun on Saturday in freezing cold temperatures.
Five were first-timers and nine recorded new personal bests. Elliston Lamont finished with the best time of 24:18.
The 5km Mountain Drive parkrun is a fun event, organised and managed by volunteers, that takes place every Saturday. Starting times are 07:00 from October to March and 08:00 from April to September. Participation is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
Kim Spencer Primic, Event Director of the Mountain Drive parkrun, says she would like to see many more people participating in the parkrun and extends an open invitation to anyone who would like to join in on the fun.
Elliston Lamont finished the 5km Mountain View parkrun on Saturday in the best time of 24:18.

The Mountain Drive parkrun on Saturday was the 61th parkrun since its inception and it was made possible by six volunteers - Kim Spencer Primic, Bronwyn Ferreira, Jacques Ferreira, Shirley Spencer, Tammy du Plessis and Anneke Wieneke - who volunteered their time to organize and manage the event.
