GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Yet another life has been lost on the N9 near Willowmore.
A white BMW, with the driver and four passengers, overturned on Saturday 2 November just before 6.15pm. One of the passengers died on the scene.
The accident occurred 25km from Willowmore. The car was on its way in the direction of Graaff-Reinet.
Captain Francis Erasmus, SAPS Spokesperson for Willowmore and surrounding areas, said the other four people were rushed to the Willowmore Hospital.
The name of the deceased is withheld from publication, because of investigation reasons and the fact that all the passengers and driver's family have not yet been informed of the accident. Erasmus said it is, however, known that they are all from Sedgefield and Pletterberg Bay in the Southern Cape.
According to Erasmus, the driver claims that one of the tyres burst and he lost control of the vehicle. The car went through a fence and came to a standstill in the veld.
The police opened a culpable homicide docket.
