GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The winter cold and rainy weather of the past weekend did not stop the colleagues, parents, learners and ex-learners of Nqweba secondary school to honor the principal Zolile Malotana (Jetta) on Saturday 13 May for his 32-years of service as principal of this school. 

Jetta, as affectionately called by his peers was described as a true leader, hardworking and dedicated.

Nomandla Singeni, Education Development Officer of the Department of Education in the Sarah Baartman District, said that she realized that Malotana is an epitome of a servant leader and that she could conclude that servant leadership is a philosophy in which the goal of the leader is to serve, "The servant leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people, develop and perform as high as possible."

Malotana in reply said that he is standing here thanking God for the number of years that He has been given. He praised and thanked God for giving him the strength to lead.

The principal was presented with presents from ex-learners of the school.
