GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Mountain Drive parkrun in Graaff-Reinet saw 80 participants last week Saturday. It was a special day for Ettiene vol Solms and Clifford Beldon, who took part in their 25th event.
Regular parkrunners were joined by visitors from Benoni, Pretoria, Somerset East and Port Elizabeth.
First-timer Corniel Vorster was first with 23:59, Breyton David second (24:49) and Dave Neill third (25:59).
Zoe Hobson was the first woman to cross the finish line (30:58). Melissa Swart was second (31:17) and Izienne van Jaarsveld third (31:55). Swart managed to record a new personal best.
Volunteers who made the day possible were Peter Burdett, Johan du Plessis, Mike Calitz, Shirley Spencer, Rozelle Kohn, Kim Spencer Primic, Jose and Shawn from the ambulance service, and two rangers from SANparks.
