Update
GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The police are yet to make an arrest in the murder investigation of a newborn baby, whose body was found hidden in a cupboard in Spandauville, Graaff-Reinet on 11 September last year.
According to Graaff-Reinet SAPS Spokesperson Capt Bradley Rawlinson, the investigating officer is still awaiting DNA results.
When the incident came to light last year, it first appeared that a 22-year-old woman had given birth to a stillborn baby on 8 September, and kept the body hidden for three days.
Her parents then discovered the baby, and alerted the police.
However, a pathologist revealed on 23 September that the baby was born alive, and the inquest docket was changed to murder.
