GRAAFF-REINET NEWS – It’s official – the new logo for the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality has been approved.
Eight potential logos for the municipality's new corporate brand were considered, but after a strenuous public participation process, one designed by Elva Aldridge – a Jansenville resident – was selected as the winning logo.
The municipality’s executive council approved the much anticipated logo and its colours two weeks ago, and at a meeting held in Graaff-Reinet today, Thursday, July 13, the council resolved that the logo - that prominently features a kudu in the design - be used to represent the municipality henceforth.
“Council believes that this logo’s theme and corporate colours will carry the aspirations, direction and the vision of our municipality forward,” said Leolynn Smith, the municipality’s communications officer.
She added that processes of promoting the new brand would start immediately.
