NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS — Be sure to save the date from 16 to 18 March when the annual Motorbike (and other vehicles) tour takes place from the Nieu-Bethesda Sports Club in a drive to raise funds for the beautiful NG Church in the village.
Renovations have already begun on the impressive spire where a team of workers and a crane have been hired to paint and repair the tiled roof.
In previous years this tour, which is open to all ages, has been an interesting and fun-filled weekend where the back roads of the beautiful Karoo around Nieu-Bethesda are explored.
The event begins at 09:00 at the Sports Club in Bethesda on the 16th with coffee and a route of approximately 200km is on the agenda for the first day. A light lunch is provided en route and a cordial braai takes place back at the club in the evening.
Another beautiful route has been planned for Saturday ending with a steak braai at the same venue with the locals that night. For those who wish to sleep over, mattresses are available at the club, as well as hot showers and ablutions.
The price for the weekend, everything included, is R1 200. If interested in participating in this fun-filled, incredible event that is suitable for the family and for a very good cause, please contact Fox Wolfaardt on 082 825 3678 or Kosie Wolfaardt on 079 885 4004.
