GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — It was a like case of Manna falling from Heaven when Herholdt Indecor and local Kitty Viljoen delivered 40 donated mattresses to the Khanyisa Day Care Centre in Umasizakhe, Graaff-Reinet.
This donation is a contribution by generous locals to alleviate the plight of this centre which is struggling as a result of having too few resources to operate as well as it should.
Kitty Viljoen said this early childhood development centre was in dire need of support.
Principal Bukelwa Booysen said the donation will go a long way as the school is reliant on the goodwill and support of the local community.
“Our children will now have decent mattresses to sleep on - this is what it means when they say the community cares,” she said.
Booysen could not hold back her excitement saying this donation takes the crèche a step further towards achieving its vision to be the centre of excellence in early childhood development in this area.
“This donation will go a long way to improving the lives of these children,” said Booysen.
