GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The annual Lions Club Buddy Day, hosted recently in Graaff-Reinet, was once again a fun-filled day.
Fifty handicapped learners from the Khanyisa and Kamva Day Care Centres were partnered with 20 learners from Kroonvale Primary, and the children had great fun participating in various activities together.
The Botanics Sports Club very kindly made their field and facilities available, for which the organisers are very grateful.
The children took part in various fun races, danced and enjoyed boerewors rolls and juice.
The children's happy spirit of co-operation was a delight.
The organisers extend their heartfelt thanks to Kroonvale Primary's educators for helping with the organisation of the games.
A special word of thanks is also extended to the various sponsors for their generosity - the Botanics Sports Club, Spar, Lisa's Boutique, Sakkie le Roux and Brendan van Heerden.
• In other news, Lions International has donated generously to the fund for helping Cyclone Idai victims and the Graaff-Reinet Lions are contributing to that.
