KAROO NEWS - Residents of Willowmore, Jansenville and Steytlerville will be happy to hear that Eskom won't pull the plug on their electricity supply just yet.
The power supplier threatened to interrupt bulk electricity supply to the three Karoo towns, after the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality failed to provide Eskom with an acceptable payment arrangement of the municipality's bulk electricity debt.
However, the municipality said in a recent statement that no bulk electricity interruptions will take place. "Negotiations with Eskom yielded a positive outcome," the statement read.
It is unclear at this stage what arrangement the municipality has made with Eskom. The municipality has been approached for comment,
