GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The Assembly Church is running their third annual Holiday Club programme in the June/July school holidays.
They grew from 70 children in 2015 to 100 children last year, and are expecting their biggest Holiday Club so far, this year!
Holiday Club is the perfect way to let your child have fun and make new friends, while at the same time learning more about having a relationship with God.
It is also a great place to leave your child for the morning if you are a working parent.
They will be taken care of by a well-trained team of about 50 young adults and teenagers that will do their best to make sure that your child gets the most out of the Holiday Club experience.
The Church bases their Holiday Club theme on current children’s movies, and this year their theme is Home (by DreamWorks).
Every day of Holiday Club is completely jam-packed with things to do.
Children start each morning watching a part of the movie followed by the day’s activities, which are based on how they can relate their faith to what they have watched.
There is exciting large group teaching, meaningful singing and worship, personal small group discussions, creative craft time, and energetic outdoor games and activities.
At the end of a week of Holiday Club, children feel encouraged and motivated in their faith, and are excited about attending and growing in their local church.
The Assembly Church is excited to announce that this year, for the first time, they are opening the Holiday Club to include children that are in Grade R, which means that it is open to all children from Grade R to Grade 7!
Once again, Holiday Club is happening in the middle week of the June/July school holidays, from Monday 10 July until Friday 14 July.
Registration is open each day from 7.30am to 8am and children must be collected at 12.30. They will receive a snack during the morning, so they don’t encourage children to bring their own food.
As parents, you have the option of allowing your child to join the Holiday Club for the full five-day experience, or simply for the day/s that they can attend. The Church has managed to keep the cost the same as last year! The cost per child for the full week is R120. Alternatively, the cost per child per day is R30.
Registration forms can be collected and dropped off at The Assembly Church office from Tuesday to Friday between 8.30am and noon.
