GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - One of the objectives of the Graaff-Reinet Animal Welfare Society (GRAWS) is to conduct outreaches to educate the community on various aspects related to the welfare of animals.
GRAWS is a newly registered animal welfare society offering the same services as the SPCA, but with a difference.
As part of their education plan, they visited the Let's Play Preschool Learning Centre on Wednesday 22 June and had a fun morning with the learners teaching them about different kinds of animals.
GRAWS shared stories about different animals and the children had the privilege to learn more about snakes.
The children also had the opportunity to meet the GRAWS puppies and were taught how to take proper care of their pets. The puppies are currently up for adoption at the kennels.

GRAWS thanked the Let's Play teachers and parents for their generous donations.
GRAWS remains committed to serving animals in need, but the involvement and support of the Graaff-Reinet community are vital. "Please open your heart and home by adopting or fostering, or let us become your favourite tax deduction."
Any donation made to GRAWS can be claimed as a Section 18A tax deduction on your income tax return.
GRAWS are at the same kennels where the SPCA used to be. For more information, animal-related emergencies, adoptions or donations Carlin Raath, office manager, can be contacted at 072 123 1722.
