GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Exciting news! parkrun* will be launched in Graaff-Reinet soon.
parkrun is an international phenomenon, where free, informal, weekly, 5km timed runs are held by groups of parkrun volunteers in towns and cities around the world. The events are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
Towns across South Africa are already holding them to much acclaim and soon Graaff-Reinet will too.
The Graaff-Reinet event will take place in Graaff-Reinet's Mountain Drive and people of every ability will be encouraged to take part; from walkers or those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; all are welcomed.
A meeting about this exciting new event will be held on Monday evening, 13 August, at 18:00 at the Botanics Sports Club - all interested are invited to attend to ask any questions you may have about parkrun. Absolutely everyone is welcome.
If you want to find out more prior to the meeting, contact Lusan Luscombe at 082 7800 739.
