COOKHOUSE NEWS - A 36-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear in the Somerset East Magistrate's Court today, Tuesday 6 April after various drugs were found in his possession.
According to police spokesperson, Capt Bradley Rawlinson, the suspect was arrested by the Cookhouse highway patrol and Middelburg K9 unit in an information driven operation in the Bongweni location on Friday 2 April.
"The team conducted an information driven operation at the house where drugs were allegedly being stored. They recovered 27 bompies dagga, a quarter of a madrax tablet, three sachets tik and four straws containing tik. A substantial amount of cash was also confiscated," said Rawlinson.
The suspect was arrested on the scene.
