KIRKWOOD NEWS - Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a person burned to death in an accident on the R336 towards Kirkwood this morning (Thursday).
According to Sergeant Majola Nkohli, spokesperson for the Sarah Baartman District, the accident allegedly occurred between a truck and a sedan travelling in opposite directions, at around 6.30am.
"It is alleged that the truck was driving towards Kirkwood CBD and collided with the oncoming car," Nkohli told the Advertiser. "The car caught fire on impact, and its driver was trapped and burned to death."
The process of identifying the deceased is currently in progress.
