GRAAFF-REINET NEWS— The administration department of the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality took on 67 minutes for Nelson Mandela day with great vigour and a will to serve the community in need.
The administration department celebrated the day by carrying out an initiative which entailed handing out food and beverages in different areas of Graaff-Reinet. Sandwiches, tea and also coffee were provided at both the Umasizakhe and Kroonvale clinics.
These offerings were greatly appreciated after the harsh cold weather experienced this week. With the initiative being well received it was decided that it will now become a regular occurrence which the administrative department will continue to carry out.
A special word of thanks goes out to Monique and the staff of the bakery at Spandau Spar for the generous donation of a number of loaves of bread used to feed the community.
