Blades in transit - Olifantskop Pass closed

Today, 4 March, three abnormal loads will be making their way from Coega Harbour in Gqeberha, via N2 Nanaga, N10 Olifantskop Pass to Cookhouse. Delays on the pass can be expected from approximately 11:00 to 13:00.

KAROO NEWS -Today, 4 March, the Olifantskop Pass will be closed for about an hour starting at 11:00. This is because trucks carrying turbine blades will be passing through the area.

The trucks will be accompanied by six traffic vehicles, traveling from Coega Harbour in Gqeberha, along the N2 (Nanaga), over the N10 (Olifantskop Pass), and on to Cookhouse. 

Also today, from about 7:00 three abnormal loads carrying three turbine blades will be escorted by six traffic vehicles from the Coega Harbour in Gqeberha via Motherwell, Kariega on R75 to Jansenville.

Road Users can expect delays in traffic. and are requested to be patient. Any cancellation of escorts will be communicated on the groups.
