GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - What does it entail to become a member of the Camdeboo Hospice - or a Friend of Hospice (FOH) - as it is more commonly known?
The aim of FOH is to support and promote the services provided by Camdeboo Hospice.
Camdeboo Hospice provides holistic palliative care to patients and their families affected by life-threatening illnesses through home based care, support and referrals to relevant partner organisations.
Friends of Hospice also have voting rights at the Camdeboo Annual General Meeting (AGM).
A Friend of Hospice is a community member who have paid his or her subscription fee of R360 per year, or R30 a month, and businesses can become friends by paying R500 a year or R41,66 per month.
Membership of the Friends of Hospice will be terminated if annual fees are not paid.
As an FOH you qualify to be nominated as a board member, if you so wish.
No member of the organisation is liable for any debts of the organisation.
If you do not want to be an FOH and only want to make a donation, you qualify for a Section 18A tax certificate that is deductible from income tax.
Anyone interested in becoming an FOH can contact Marina van Niekerk, fundraiser for the Camdeboo Hospice, on 084 461 6631.
