GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - What does it all entail to become a member of the Camdeboo Hospice - or a Friend of Hospice (FOH) as it is more commonly known?
FOH aims to support and publicise the services provided by Camdeboo Hospice.
Camdeboo Hospice provides holistic palliative care to patients and their families affected by life-threatening illnesses through home-based care, support and referrals to relevant partner organisations.
Friends of Hospice also have voting rights at the Camdeboo Annual General Meeting (AGM).
A Friend of Hospice is a com-munity member who has paid their subscription fee which amounts to R360 per year - or R30 a month - for individuals and R500 a year or R41.66 a month for businesses.
Membership will be terminated if annual fees are not paid.
To be a FOH you can be nominated as a board member if you so wish.
No member of the organisation shall be liable for any debts of the organisation.
If you do not want to be a FOH and only want to make a donation, you qualify for a Section 18A tax certificate that is deductible from income tax.
Anyone interested in becoming a FOH can contact Marina van Niekerk, on 084 461 6631.
