GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Another mixed bag of successes was reported by SAPS in Graaff-Reinet and Aberdeen last week.
There were six arrests for theft, one for housebreaking and theft, five for malicious damage to property, two for stock theft and three for shoplifting.
Seven arrests were made for common assault, and ten for assault GBH. Two people were arrested on outstanding warrants, one for fraud, as well as one illegal immigrant.
In drug-related offences, there were two arrests for possession of dagga, and also fifteen people were arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
A variety of goods were confiscated or recovered. These include wooden poles, a rod, a panga, sim cards, bicycles and a gas gun. A Zimbabwean driver’s licence and an international licence were confiscated.
Mandrax tablets (9.5), 31g of tik, and 790g of dagga were also confiscated.
