ABERDEEN NEWS - Two suspects were arrested in Thembalesizwe for possession of suspected stolen goods on 31 October.
The incident took place at 09:50 when during normal patrols in Thembalesizwe, a SAPS member was stopped by an informant who had seen two suspects carrying an iron gate, which they were trying to sell.
During the conversation with the informant, SAPS members saw the two suspects with the gate and when asked, the suspects could not give a reasonable explanation as to how they got the gate. The SAPS members then arrested the two suspects on suspicion of being in possession of stolen property and confiscated the gate.
A case of stock theft was opened on 2 November. At about 16:20, the complainant went to check on his pigs at the Aberdeen Piggery and found three missing.
The value of the pigs amounts to R1 500. There are no known suspects at this stage.
A residential burglary took place between 18 October and 2 November at a house in Darling Street.
The complainant was house-sitting for the owner during the period that the house was broken into and cannot say for sure what was stolen.
A case of theft was opened after a satellite dish was stolen from a house in Grey Street.
The complainant wanted to watch television on 4 November at about 16:05, and when he could not find a signal, he went outside to check on the satellite dish and discovered that it was missing. The value of the dish is R450.
Three arrests were made in the town in the last week, one each for reckless and/or negligent driving, one for assault GBH, and one for drunken driving.
Five suspects were also arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
