GRAAFF-REINET — The Drostdy Hotel invites residents of Graaff-Reinet to sample some of the best wines on offer this summer at a tasting evening in the hotel’s Wijnkamer on Thursday, November 17, from 6pm to 8pm.
Carien, the ambassador for the Anthonij Rupert farm, will be hosting the evening. Her depth of knowledge about all the wines is astonishing.
The Lomarins Brut MCC will be the drink offered on arrival to get guests’ palates awake for all the wines they will be tasting.
A total of five different wines will be tasted, with some snacks to accompany the wines.
One of these is the Cape of Good Hope Caroline, which is the newest addition to the wine shop, only released in the middle of this year.
Reservations for the evening can be made through the hotel, or by calling Anra Smith, the Drostdy Wineshop Manager, on 049 892 2161.
Tickets cost R800 per person. There are only forty tickets available, so anyone interested is advised to book as soon as possible.
