ABERDEEN NEWS — Aberdeen SAPS received a donation recently of an assortment of teddy bears and other soft toys, and after discussion with Dr Funani Desemele of Aberdeen Hospital, station commander Capt Advocate Qashani decided to pass on the toys to the hospital.
“Especially over the holiday season, many children are taken to the hospital after being involved in road accidents” explained Capt Qashani.
“We hope that the toys can be a small source of comfort to these little ones, and there are enough that they will be able to take their new toy home with them.”
A group from the police station accompanied Capt Qashani, and Sr Marta de Beer accepted the gifts on behalf of the hospital.
