ABERDEEN NEWS — A case of stock theft was opened on Monday after three Dorpers, valued between R6 000 and R7 000, were slaughtered on a farm belonging to JP Smit.
The investigation is still in progress as the police are following up on leads received.

A case of reckless and negligent driving was opened after a kudu bumped a police vehicle on the N9 last Tuesday. A 24-year-old man from Lotusville who is on parole after a conviction for robbery in 2016, and has another pending case of robbery against him, escaped from police custody on Sunday whilst being questioned at the station in connection with three more robberies and a case of assault.
Fortunately, Sgt Mbaduli, who was assisting the investigating officer, chased after the suspect and quickly caught him. A case of assisting a suspect to escape has been opened against the investigating officer.
