GRAAFF-RENET NEWS - An intelligence-driven operation led to the arrest of five suspects across Graaff-Reinet recently, and drugs worth R2 000 were recovered.
According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson for the Graaff-Reinet SAPS, the Graaff Reinet Operational Command Centre, Cookhouse Crime Prevention members and the Graaff- Reinet dog unit joined forces in the operation, which focused on Asherville, Santaville and Umasizakhe.
"The suspects are aged between 21 and 38, and Mandarax tablets and tik straws worth R2 000 were recovered," Rawlinson told the Advertiser.
Graaff-Reinet Station Commander, Col André Arends, acknowledged the successes and thanked the members for the good work.
