GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A chilly Saturday morning saw 61 participants take on the challenging Mountain Drive parkrun in Graaff-Reinet last weekend.
Of these runners, joggers and walkers, eight were first-timers and 14 recorded new personal bests.
Visitors came from Germany, Hobie Beach, Century City, Port Elizabeth and Cradock.
Eric Foendien was first of the men with 20:13, and Judith Dech was first of the women with 28:24. It was the first time that Dech ran this particular event.
The event was made possible by volunteers Peter Burdett, Mike Calitz, Shirley Spencer, Danie Jackson, Jacqui Taylor-Freeme and Kim Spencer Primic. The organisers thanked Mixie Goedhals for providing the volunteers with lovely rusks.
