BUSINESS NEWS - Football is the most played sport and plays a significant role in our communities. Whether it is official or unofficial, it is played. The players enjoy the games and so does the community.
Kids are seen on the fields early each day playing with any kind of ball.
More and more clubs are formed because everyone dreams of playing star football. It is very important to the local Football Association under the auspices of SAFA Sarah Baartman and the Dr Beyers Naude LFA to make as many dreams come true as possible.
The aim and vision of the association are to promote, advance, encourage and drive the South African Football Association (SAFA) vision 2022, to assist and protect the interest of the game, to promote and encourage the formation and development of clubs and other associations.
Lungile Damons, Club Chairman of Eleven Attackers, is extremely excited about the funding received from the National Lotteries Commission which allowed them to acquire soccer kits and accessories as part of the items of the project that they applied for.
Eleven Attackers Football Club is proud to be creating the football stars of tomorrow!
Eleven Attackers SFC was established on 18 March 1983 in the township of Umasizakhe in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape.
The club was established to help up-and-coming football hopefuls get much-needed development and support to advance their dreams and secure their future in football. We are very proud of the strides and progress we have made over the years. We have been at the forefront of developing and nurturing youngsters from different backgrounds.
“We can proudly acclaim that we produced the first professional footballer in the area,” said Vuyisile Yeyana, Deputy Chairman of the club. He said that Mzuvukile Tom graduated from Eleven Attackers SFC before becoming a player that represented our area in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and even managed to obtain 2 call ups to our National Squad. They are very proud of his achievements and for putting the club on the map.
Once again Eleven Attackers SFC is very grateful to the National Lotteries Commission for the funded grant, it will indeed go a long way in terms of providing the necessities needed to develop our young ones. “We build STARS!!”
