GRAAFF-REINET BUSINESS NEWS - Montego Pet Nutrition is proud to announce a new platform called Montego Cares.

Montego Cares will focus on creating positive change within the Graaff-Reinet community with one of its first projects focusing on assisting the local Graaff-Reinet SPCA. When the local Graaff-Reinet SPCA’s troubles became publicly known, Montego Pet Nutrition decided to step in and make a difference to ensure that their doors remain open.

The SPCA plays a vital role in the in the community, and carries out a variety of functions, from sensitizing children to compassion for animals to educating members of public with regard to correct animal handling and care; from handling all animals to inspecting circuses and livestock sale yards; from rescuing animals to investigating and laying criminal charges against people who have perpetrated deliberate or negligent acts of cruelty.

"It is stated clearly in our mission statement that we will endeavor to always seek to preserve what can be preserved and improve what cannot. All of our success and prosperity would be irrelevant if we didn’t better the quality of life for all South Africans and pets – for this generation and the next – along the way," said Wilfred Cawood, Marketing Manager for Montego Pet Nutrition.

"We have thus decided to create an initiative upon which these positive changes can be applied and how the local community can help assist us in keeping the SPCA afloat."

Montego Pet Nutrition will be donating a portion of participating Montego dry pet food sold in Graaff-Reinet to the local Graaff-Reinet SPCA, T&C’s apply.
