GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - As a result of the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Lockdown, and regulations prohibiting public meetings and gatherings, Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality is unable to hold its annual Mayoral Outreach to introduce the Draft 2020/21 IDP, Budget, Rates and Tariffs to the communities of Wards 1 to 14.
However, we will be utilizing all other communication platforms at our disposal and, in this regard, make it as easy as possible for you to access the documents, to engage on their content and have your concerns or queries addressed – as effectively as possible.
The draft documents, with their summaries, will be available for viewing and downloading on our website; Infographics will be appearing on our Municipal facebook page and on other sites; more information will be distributed via WhatsApp, e-mail, other electronic media, as well as printed media.

In addition, we will be holding Open Days in each of the eight towns, on the dates and at the venues listed below. This will afford individual members of the public the opportunity to visit the venue and to engage with Municipal Officials on issues specifically relating to the Draft 2020/21 IDP and Budget – for purpose of clarity and also to submit written comments that are being invited during the 21-day Public Inspection and Comments period, starting on Tuesday 2 June and ending on Monday 22 June.
Copies of the draft documents and comments boxes will be placed at all Municipal Administrative Offices in all eight towns for this purpose. Please make use of the various options to access the documents and to have your say.
