The prestigious Personal Trust Open Bowls Day saw 40 players compete at the GraaffReinet Bowling Club on Saturday 29 June. There was an air of expectancy with the presence of South-African lawn and indoor bowler, Neil Burkett, also participating on the day. Burkett represented South-Africa more than 500 times as a SA champion. In the end, it was Tienie Prinsloo from Cradock, Wally Koetaan, Deon and Sonja Matthee, all from Jansenville, who walked away as the winners. The club also congratulated Niel Colyn for winning a silver medal during the EP Masters Singles.
