GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Suprise! The organisers of the Karoo-lus Festival recently revealed a surprise closing act for this year's festival which is sadly set to be the last - but biggest - festival ever.
The Parlotones, South Africa’s best-selling indie rock music artists of all time, enjoying multi-platinum success, is playing at Karoo-lus.
Fans can look forward to hearing their favourite tracks and material from the band when Kahn Morbee, Neil Pauw, and brothers Glen and Paul Hodgson take to the local stage.
The Parlotones’ early sound was rooted in Brit-rock but developed to incorporate a wider spectrum of musical genres. Their lyrics focus on personal themes of love and everyday life, paired with catchy melodies.
The Parlotones have released eight studio albums and are one of South Africa’s best-selling music artists of all time, enjoying multi-platinum success.
The band has won nine South African Music Awards and, in 2009 and was the first local band to headline at the Coca-Cola Dome.
