GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Local eateries Polka and Our Yard have joined forces to offer Graaff-Reinet diners a novel experience - a Valentine’s Day Street Dinner in Somerset Street under the stars!
Bunting will be set up in the street, with romantic lanterns on the table, all combining to provide an evening to remember.
Patrons will be entertained by Elizabeth van der Bijl, a classic country singer who will be travelling to Graaff-Reinet especially for the function.
Only 150 seats are available, and according to Hestie van der Mescht of Polka, tables are filling up fast.
On the menu for the evening is rump steak with a mushroom sauce and chips, followed by an intriguing-sounding velvet diamond dessert with cream. The cost is R150 per person, and dinner will be served between 6.30pm and 10pm. Bookings can be made with Hestie on 087 550 1363.
