NATIONAL NEWS - Only one person will now face rape and murder charges in the Franziska Blöchliger case.
The teenager's body was discovered shortly after she went missing while jogging in the Tokai Forest in March last year.
Four suspects, who were arrested shortly after the attack, appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Howard Oliver was denied bail and then heard he would be the only accused facing rape and murder charges.
His lawyer Monique Carstens says, “Accused number one has been indicted to a high court and he will appear on 3 February for pre-trial conferences with a new attorney.”
Murder and rape charges against his three co-accused have been dropped.
