Meet 24-year-old Brenden Wooldridge. Originally from Alberton, Gauteng, he moved to George to pursue a career in fitness at eta College George in 2016.
A lover of fitness from a very early age, he faced a major blow when he was seriously burnt in a petrol fire accident just before his 8th birthday. The incident left him with severe third-degree burns on his face and body, making him unable to play contact sport.
He found his passion for gym at the age of 13 when his dad took him to a gym for the first time. This is where his journey in the industry started.
In 2016 he began his studies and completed his National Exercise Specialist Diploma and Advanced Certificate in Sports Conditioning. He followed on with a Diploma in Sports and Recreational Management at eta College, and was appointed as academic manager at eta College at the beginning of 2021.
Brenden is now the founder of Wolf Power Fitness, a group training business focused on developing individuals on a physical and mental level to become their best selves. Wolf Power Fitness classes are held at the George eta campus every day from 05:00 to 06:00, 08:00 to 09:00 and again from 18:00 to 19:00.
