KAROO NEWS - The Eastern Cape Department of Transport has issued a notice that a portion of the main road (MR00605) from the Toren Farm Stall and Accommodation up to Sam's bridge near Nieu Bethesda will be closed from 07:00 on Monday 27 February until 17:00 on Friday 12 May.
This is to allow for the construction and surfacing of the last 2,3 km of this road. Updated dates will be provided as progress is made.
Motorists who wish to travel to Nieu Bethesda are asked to use the detour as shown in the map.
It is further advised that 30 minutes travel time should be added and that road signs must be read carefully when using the detour.
