GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The oldest guesthouse in Graaff-Reinet, situated in Caledon Street, recently received a makeover after being taken over by its new owners, well-known locals Roland and Sam Kroon.
Merwede Ruskamers was started as a family business in 1959 at 100 and 102 Caledon Street and served as the first guesthouse in Graaff-Reinet.
Now, under the new ownership of the Kroons, it has been completely revamped and boasts an entirely new look with a new name to accompany it.
The @Karoo Guesthouse, as it is now called, serves as a new and improved version of this historic guesthouse and offers visitors a charming and luxurious home away from home where they can kick off their shoes and just relax. Graaff-Reinet being a small town, guests are able to enjoy the comfort, peace and tranquility associated with stays in quaint Karoo towns, while residing at an ideal location from which to visit all the national monuments and art galleries.
@Karoo offers support staff that would be able to assist guests with queries and requests which makes it an ideal and comfortable base from which to visit the town.
