ABERDEEN NEWS - At approximately 03:20 this morning a minibus taxi overturned on the R61 between Beaufort West and Aberdeen, on its way to Aberdeen.
The accident happened only 10km from its destination, Aberdeen.
13 passengers were injured but no fatalities were reported. All the injured were taken to the Aberdeen hospital.
The driver, although in shock, did not sustain any injuries.
According to the driver he tried to avoid an oncoming truck in his lane. In the process the taxi suffered a blow out of one tyre and the driver lost control over the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the road is open for traffic.
